So a co-worker recently returned from a “luxury” vacation and now with several pictures scattered around their area, you are reminded how much you want to get away. But you have this job to worry about; the kids, the commitments in the neighborhood, so many elements that you have attached yourself too that it seems to be a major production just to go outside of town and scream at the sky.
Each day passes adding on more and more stress; job worries or even not knowing if you will be working at this job much longer. Our economy is not being friendly to the office worker, the manufacturer, the corporate executive, or even the cashier. Listen, times are tough and here is the thing, they are always tough if your plan is to trade hours for dollars.
Limiting yourself in this fashion only heightens stress and if you really break it down, there are only so many hours in which you can produce or earn. You are placing limits on yourself simply by continuing to make this choice.
Is it easy? Maybe, but at what cost? Where is your creative freedom in this daily shift? Where are you allowed to make solid, life-changing decisions through your day? Where does your imagination come into play to create and see an idea grow?
Life remains regimented, based on others saying what we can and cannot do. If we allow these limitations to be implemented upon us, then simply to exist and die is our own destiny. Those that took certain risks, tried and failed and tried again seem to have a different level of life; they experienced a higher level of value.
At what point will you allow yourself to redefine value in what your life is made with? Do you understand that there are multitudes of opportunities in this world that allow creativity to be a professional quality where monetary gains occur?
